It was Donna Voisin's idea to theme Kitchener-Waterloo Society of Artists' (KWSA) yearly member's show on Remembrance Day and the imagery of red poppies. Voisin is an oil painter and a recent member of KWSA who pitched the show's theme to inspire her fellow artists to show their own artistic interpretations of war's cost.

I interviewed Voisin as part of a piece on KWSA's Remembrance Day show, and her mindfulness on the meaning of the day struck a chord with me.
